We've had Fame, we've had High School Musical and Britannia High, but did you know that Hertfordshire has a school to rival all three?!

Tring Park School for the Performing Arts is set in beautiful grounds and is housed in a former Rothschild mansion.

As an independent, co-educational boarding and day school, it offers gifted young people between the ages of 7-19, the opportunity to specialise in Dance, Drama, Musical Theatre or Music, and at the same time, gain an academic education to GCSE, BTEC and ‘A’ level.

Pupils perform regularly at the highest level, both at their own Markova Theatre as well as in London and throughout the UK and Europe, and they are proud to have nurtured some of today’s leading performers.

Successful former students include Thandie Newton, Caroline Quentin, Jane Seymour , Stephanie Lawrence and Amy Nuttall, to name but a few.

Ian Brown has been to meet some of the pupils and will be tracking three of them over the next few months, following their progress and learning more about life behind the scenes at a performing arts school.

Jack is studying dance. He is originally from the West Midlands but his family moved to Bedfordshire when he joined Tring Park at the age of eight.
