Check out some inspiration.
Toddlers love pretend 's fun and it's fantastic for their developing imagination and communication skills. Get them to tell you what they want to explore and who they want you to be. And why not use props as well? And it doesn't have to be anything expensive. You can just use items from around the house to help them create imaginary world, you'd be surprised what a cushion and a colander, can turn into. And why not get other members of the family involved, too? You can make it a family affair.
Pretend play and role play can really get your child's creative skills going. Join in their play, listen to their ideas and respond to what they say and do. It's also the perfect chance to help them expand their vocabulary by linking words and ideas together and it can be about anything really, like playing a game of pretend animals together. Let their imagination, quite literally, run wild as they unleash their inner animal.
Pretending to be different animals is a great way to get your child moving and talking. Why not encourage them to move like the animals, make noises like the animal and say what the animal is. And if you get stuck for ideas, then you can get inspiration from books or from items around the house. Pretend play really is endless fun for you and your little one, and there really are no limits. Pretend to be animals or go on an amazing adventure. And the best thing, you don't have to go anywhere to do it!
