Jennie I'm Jennie McApline, I'm an actress on Coronation Street and I'm also a mummy. I've got a five year old little boy, Albert, and a 15 month old little girl, Hilda.
I'm so happy to be a Tiny Happy People ambassador. This whole campaign is about doing simple things with your child. The fact that there's tools, there's information on the website about it and it's bitesize, it's easy to understand.
There's really lovely, simple guidance of how to really set them up in life by talking to them, singing to them and letting them communicate with you. And it's all the stuff that you've done with them that you don't even realise. And the smallest thing you've done with them that they love doing.
There's a lovely video on the website of a daddy changing a nappy, singing Three Blind Mice, but not as we know. It's the Wee Wee Poo song.
Dad Wee wee poo, Wee wee poo. What shall we do?
Jennie I sing silly songs all the time, they don't mind. I mean they're looking at you thinking, 'you're my mum, this is amazing'.
So I think something like Tiny Happy People now is important because this world that we live in is so big and vast, and we've got all this stuff like social media and the telly and the internet and all this stuff. Well sometimes, you know, you're not sure you're looking in the right places.
The fact that there is a website for Tiny Happy People and it's something that experts have contributed to, and you actually know that this makes some sense and it's on a trusted website.
You know the stuff that's going to be on there is going to help our children develop their language, so that, you know, hopefully become chatterboxes. It's got be a good thing.
