"The fragments have fallen into place."

Transcript

"We moved to Betws Gwerfyl Goch two years ago from Wigan in Lancashire. I'd never heard of the place before. The house needed renovating and a garden made. It had been built in 1834, and as we dug in the garden we found all these bottles and fragments. I began to think about who had lived there before and how we came to be there. It seemed to be quite by chance.

I started to collect the bottles and use them as a starting point for exploring stories, putting images into them that you have to turn to get the full picture, the story revealing itself.

Then I came across this photo of my great grandfather and discovered that he was a postman in Gwyddelwyn just over the hill from where we live now and so I've kind of come full circle and somehow a part of my story has become clearer and the fragments have fallen into place."
