"If I was headmaster of this school, I would knock it down and make up a new one."

In this engaging documentary from 1966, we meet Kamal Hassan a young boy growing up in Tiger Bay in Cardiff. He has some unique ideas to improve school.

In this clip as the boys quietly line up ready to attend morning assembly, Kamal reveals his radical ideas to make learning better.

"I wouldn't have any caning, I would talk to the boys that had been naughty.

"Instead of having caning, I'd put them in the homes. I'd put them in Dr Barnado's."
