Wynford Vaughan-Thomas' extraordinary first-hand reports as the Allied invasion force landed at Anzio, in Italy, during the D-Day landings of January 1944.

Wynford Vaughan Thomas was one of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s most distinguished war correspondents during World War Two and the the first war reporter for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ to take recording gear into the thick of the action.

This clip features Vaughan Thomas' actual report from the landing where he describes the Allied forces midnight landing at Anzio, in Italy, during the D-Day landings of January 1944.
