Glamorgan Heritage Coast

Location: Merthyr Mawr to Southerndown.
Description of this walk: A convenient coastal walk offering solitude and serenity, situated beteen two cities.

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast is sandwiched between Swansea and Cardiff and it has a lot to offer.

Derek puts two short walks together and discovers woodland, castles, picturesque villages, fossils and fantastic beaches.

Stopping him getting lost in the huge sand dunes is Belinda Ashton, a Ranger for the Heritage Coast. She runs the vistors' centre at Southerndown and used to patrol the dunes at Merthyr Mawr.
