Grahame Davies

On All Things Considered this week (Sunday 22 July at 8.31am, repeated on Wednesday 25 July at 6.32pm), Roy Jenkins' guest is the poet and critic Grahame Davies.

His work is best known in Welsh, but he has written the story of Jews in Wales, and is currently researching the links with Islam.

His newly-published novel Everything Must Change (published by Seren Books) is a powerful exploration of themes of culture, identity and faith in post-devolution Wales.

Building on previous Welsh language work, he interweaves the stories of a 21st century language campaigner in Gwynedd with the life of the French philosopher and activist Simone Weil.
