Freshers' week

It's that time of year when nervous but excited students are welcomed by universities all over the country to the start of a new term and, given the current emphasis on the importance of further education, more and more of us, it seems, are up for the experience.

South Wales Baptist College has been equipping such people with particular life and work skills for the last 200 years. To mark that anniversary All Things Considered (Sunday 23 September 8.31am - 9.00am) joined them on the first day of the new term to hear how a theological institution prepares people for Christian ministry in the contemporary world.

Peter Baker explores how 22 students and a staff of 5 work together in community, asking how and what people learn through the College, and what impact their training has both upon them and those they serve beyond the academic towers.
