All Things Considered: Faith & Finance

Faith & Finance

Last updated: 30 August 2009

In the wake of a global financial meltdown, how does the world look if you've spent a lifetime in key posts in the City? And what sense do you make of it all in the light of your faith?

In "All Things Considered" this week (Sunday 30 August 8.30am; repeated Wednesday 2 September 6.30pm) there's another chance to hear a programme originally broadcast in February of this year when Roy Jenkins' guest was the Welshman who is Vice Chairman and Director of the leading investment bank, Goldman Sachs International.

Brian Griffiths - Lord Griffiths of Fforestfach - is one of the country's leading economists. A former university professor, he's been a director of the Bank of England and served on the boards of various private companies and public institutions. For six years, he was head of Margaret Thatcher's policy unit at 10 Downing Street; and as an active Christian, he's written and lectured widely on the relationship between wealth and faith.
