National Eisteddfod

Last updated: 08 August 2010

In this week's programme, (Sunday 8 August 8.30 am; repeated Friday, 13 August 5.30 am) Roy Jenkins takes a stroll around the Maes to explore some of the contributions by churches to the National Eisteddfod at Blaenau Gwent.

Amongst many of the displays and activities Roy visits the replica of a slum home of a family in Kenya; hears about the story of Unitarians in Wales; attends the launch of a new puppet show based on the parables of Jesus; and explores the sensitivities around the language issues of bringing this historic cultural event to a predominantly English speaking part of Wales.
