Niqab Ban

Over the channel, a storm is brewing which is likely to come to a head in April. The French parliament will vote on a proposal to ban the face covering known as the niqab or burqa.

Reporter Selma Chalabi explores the debate and finds out what Muslims in Wales feel about the ban. She also goes out with her face covered to get the resonse from the street.

The programme features the voice of Aminah Delgado who converted to Islam at the age of 22, and has worn the face veil for 9 years.

Jacques Myard from Sarkozy's party explains why he thinks there's a need for a full ban, and Shaista Gohir from the Muslim Women's Network defend the right to cover but call for a more open debate.
