As the curtain-raiser to a week-long focus by Radio Wales on the future of the NHS, Eye on Wales brings together a panel of experts to discuss the way forward for our hospitals and health services as mapped out by the Welsh Government.
Presenter Peter Johnson is joined by Carol Lamyman-Davies, representing Wales' Community Health Councils, healthcare consultant Andy Black and Jonathan Morgan, chair of the health committee in the last Assembly.
Under discussion: Why is the status quo no longer an option? What are the implications of change, particularly in more rural areas?
And how does the NHS take patients with it through what promises to be a lengthy and occasionally controversial process?
