Are we prepared for the fall-out of war? 220,000 veterans live in Wales. Many settle back in to civilian life, but some struggle, and the mental wounds of war can take their toll. Eye On Wales asks if enough is being done to help veterans who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The national charity for those who serve in our Armed Forces, veterans and the families of both. Their commitment is to provide a lifetime of support to anyone who has ever served. They facilitate a number of support groups including the Bereaved Families Support Group, Families of Injured Service Personnel, Bereaved Siblings Support Group and Forces Additional Needs & Disability Forum.

SSAFA Forces Help also operates Forcesline, a confidential helpline that is totally independent of the military chain of command and is accessible through free phone numbers from anywhere in the world. The service provides a supportive, listening and signposting service for serving personnel and their families as well as former members of the Armed Forces.
