11 months, 25000 miles, a cold winter, hot summer and more waves than you can shake your stick at. (nob). A lone film maker's blinkered mission around the coasts of England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. "I never arranged to meet anyone, just turned up when the chart looked good and filmed whoever was there at the time"
The ElusiveThe result was a big range of hidden talent and breaks, local characters, visitors, pros on photo shoots, die hard van people (we salute you) and some truly world class waves.
A1 Surf

I treated myself to 'The Elusive' for Xmas. Excellent flick - would recomend all to see it. It's all UK and Southern Ireland based. The guy who filmed it just turned up at hotspots when the charts looked good and filmed the locals. Good Welsh section - meets Simon Noble (SNS boards) and footage of Guts. Nice Gower and Pembs action - dont recognise some of the places surfed either... but after watchin this will get the OS map out and look for 'em! The Scotland section has some massive waves...
Caws

I agree with all that Caws says, excellent film. My lovely brother bought it for me along with a subs to the Surfers Path! How good's that! Not the sort of crystal clear quality you get with the big budget films, but you're not going to expect that. It really reflects British surfing - the cold, the dedication you need! I'm going to take a copy with me on my travels, get sick of people saying, Wales? Do you get surf there?!

I watched some of this the other night and was very impressed. I even recognised a few guys in it I think... The Scottish footage looked awesome with some monster tubes being ridden at Thurso and nice clean Hebrides! Would've liked to have seen more of Wales with only Fresh West, Y Bocs and Langland being shown. I'd like to see the rest of the film now!

Bought a copy from Angus (the film maker) at the Duke' in Newgale. Must be one of the best homegrown surf films I've seen. More please.

Seen this film - what did you think?
