Quiver: 6ft D'arcy Fish, 6'9" freeline semi gun by Nev, 6'0" grey fish 'minami' by Tufflite called John Major.
Local Break: Wouldn't say I've got a local but Aberavon is the closest, Porthcawl and the Gower aren't to far way.
Places Surfed: N.Spain, France, Ireland, Feurteventura, Outer Hebrides, G-land, Bali
Favourite Surf Films: Morning of the Earth, Crystal Voyager, litmus and corn ball Bruce Brown films.
Worst Wipeout: Many a dark hold down at a very quite West Wales break on several different occasions, each time I came up spitting out black sand on the inside.
Favourite Manoeuvre: Backhand top turns and floaters
Worst Surfing Habit: Milking waves for all their worth ending in a sketchy dismount, eating sand, bouncing off rocks or wearing my board as a hat.
Best Surfing Experience: September in Ireland, after being at Easkey for 2 days with nothing more than 2ft, making the drive to County Claire and being greeted with offshore winds and a mammoth swell running.
Doolin point cark park was shaking, so we took a drive and found a wedgy left which was easily overhead. This was just the start as the clean waves kept up for another week, as did the Guinness!
Weirdest Surfing Experience: Riding the Severn bore was bonkers, standing on a sandbank in the middle of a river with a longboard under my arm waiting for a lump of water to appear.
After riding it we sprinted to the car jumped in to "chase the pig" still in our suits we negotiated through the rush hour traffic to ride it again further upstream. The whole experience was very odd.
Other Interests: Just started boxing to keep fit as I'm a lover not a fighter, music.
