The third series of UNDERGROUND - 大象传媒 Radio Swindon and 大象传媒 Radio Wiltshire's weekly radio show dedicated to local bands and musicians continued with the third show in the current series on Sunday 20th August. The show features the latest band demos, a guide to the best gigs taking place around the area, band interviews, exclusive live sessions, gig reports, and interviews with Wiltshire music scene movers and shakers. This week, presenter Daniel Garrett is inviting new Swindon alt-rock quartet Seven Years on into the studio.

Among other things, Phil and Gareth from the band talked about how Seven Years On formed from the ashes of their late, lamented Swindon act Latitude Blue. Seven Years On also exclusively recorded a song live in the 'UNDERGROUND Sunday Session' and a top track from their new demo was also played on the show. UNDERGROUND roving reporter Will Walder was back and reported from up-and-coming national act Architects recent gig in Trowbridge. The band were supported by local acts and Will's report was a follow-up to his last feature on state of the music scene in the town. That report broadcast on UNDERGROUND two weeks ago caused some consternation among local bands and gig-goers who objected to the inference that Trowbridge's music scene was experiencing a downturn in fortunes.听 This week's gig proved otherwise.

Also in the weekly local music scene 'Movers and Shakers' slot, Daniel spoke to Chippenham music scene guru Mike Morrissey - a man heavily involved in supporting local bands and promoting the live music scene in the town. And as ever in the 'The Buzz with Buswell' slot, local musician and Wiltshire music scene man-in-the-know Shaun Buswell was on hand with his weekly rundown of all the best gigs taking place around the county over the coming week.
