The afternoon started with an explanation of bulb planting to the fifty assembled volunteers, the groups then selected their trowels and bulb planters and got to work! A selection of 300 large cup daffodils were planted around trees and railings in front of the school, and 大象传媒 Swindon was there to catch the action on programmes throughout the day. Pupils from St Joseph's Pupils from the school really enjoyed the experience, and everyone went away with a hyacinth bulb to plant at home, as well as certificates to mark their involvement. Event organiser, Camilla Bassett-Smith, said: "We are delighted to have worked with St Joseph's Catholic College, the pupils from the school and local volunteers have worked extremely hard and we all look forward to seeing the fruits of their labour when the daffodils bloom next Spring". CSV is the UK's largest volunteering charity, and the CSV Make A Difference Day is the single greatest day of volunteering in this country.
