As the Rock'n'Roll Wiltshire section of this site has shown, many world-famous rock and pop acts have played in the county over the years.

Documenting each and every notable gig which has ever taken place in the area is a mammoth task which may never fully reach an end. But in association with Richard Nash, author of the local rock history book 'Hold Tight - Voices of the Sarum Sound 1945-69', we have pooled our resources to publish as complete as possible a concert chronology of Wiltshire.

It's fascinating to consider legendary bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, The Clash and AC/DC - to name but a few - have all played somewhere in Wiltshire in years gone by. Some on several occasions!

So this is an attempt to create a definitive online database of these historic cultural events from Wiltshire's past.

Some dates have still to be corroborated, and doubtless many undiscovered gigs have so far been omitted, but we hope this ongoing project will one day be complete.
