Mozambique goes to the polls on Wednesday to elect a president, parliament and provincial assemblies.

In all, there are three presidential candidates and 17 political parties in the race including a new party challenging the traditional protagonists the ruling Frelimo party and its main rival, the Renamo.

Teresa Lima, head of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ portuguese service is in Maputo for the elections, she spoke to Network Africa's Peter Ndoro.
