As Sabria says, "I was inspired to talk about this issue because it strikes me how the tacit assumption that emotional ties must not get in the way of full mobility has been internalized by my peers aiming for careers in international politics - to the point where very natural feelings of anxiety and grief are not expressed, for fear of seeming weak and not up the demands of this field."
