South Africa are the hosts of this year's World Cup tournament.
A whole host of cultural events are being lined up to coincide with the event and a number of South African authors have already started writing stories inspired by it.
Two of them, Siphiwo Mahala and Angela Makholwa, joined Mark to discuss the significance of the event for South African cultural life.
