How do you capture the human cost of the war in Gaza?

That was the question Kai Wiedenhofer asked himself when taking photos for his Book of Destruction.

The award-winning German photographer has been documenting the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for more than two decades. The new images form part of an exhibition which is on in London . It's a controversial show - when it was on in Paris two men in ski masks tried to break in and destroy the photographs.

Anna Macnamee went along to meet Kai and find out what exactly he was looking for when he made the trip to Gaza.
