Does the ICC's intervention promote Kenyan stability?

| Wednesday, 12 Dec. 2010 | 18:06 - 19:00 GMT

The International Criminal Court has accused six high-profile Kenyans of being behind the violence that led to 1,200 deaths. Several questions are arising. We'll be live in Kibera (on the outskirts of Nairobi) to hear reaction from people there. How would you answer the questions below?

James in Kenya - the six dont represent all the culprits. I feel the action taken by Moreno will deter other prominent Kenyans from committing similar crimes now that 2012 election looms. Its a warning

Benard - At long last Ocampo has opened a Pandora's box. As expected it was a sham, shoddy work, deserving to be treated with the much contempt it is worth. No wonder the U.S. shunned her at its inception

Hannah - The Kenyan politicians should know that we are in full support of Moreno ocampo and the top six mentioned should face the law and in due time we expect them to produce the rest

IF PRESIDNT KIBAKI FAILS 2 SURPORT ICC IN BRINGIN JUSTICE 2 KENYA NOW, I WILL CONCLUDE THAT HE IS ALSO GUILTY. HE WAS GIVEN A CHANCE BUT HE FAILED. CALLING 4 A LOCAL TRIBUNAL NOW IS A POLICAL GIMICK. TIMOTHY BATUR FROM NIGERIA.

Clifford on the blog - Is about time the pertrators are brought to book. It doesn't matter if it's from the ICC or the Kenyan Government if they could. Justice at last is justice indeed.

Elias on the blog - Whatever the ICC do or think its up to them, perhaps the best course in this matter should be as the saying goes, Let sleeping dogs lie

What is called ICC is a politically motivated one and that is clear in its selective approach toward african and turning blind eye to what is going in IRAG and

Kiiru on the blog - The ICC does not have an Anti-African agenda, we Africans are Anti-fellow Africans, we are slow at prosecuting those that do harm to us, we just let go way too easily. The ICC actions today is a sound signal to all here in Kenya especially the ruling elite, that they will no longer go Scot free with their heinous actions to their own citizenry

Sergio on the blog - I am pro justice, pro democracy, pro human rights, pro everything that is acceptable and good. The naming of these people does not fit in any of the above as far as l am concerned

Calmus replied to the daily email - I'd have loved to see more names on that list including the two grand coalition government leaders. I thank O'campo for stepping in to help save this country at a time when the political class have demonstrated a lack of committment to bring perpetrators of the violence to justice

Edward emails - The ICC has done the best thing ever. Kenya needs to stop impunity and the fear that kenyans will go back to war is just another way of saying that impunity is ingrained in our society
