What does your beauty or going out routine consist of? Do you use lots of beauty products or hardly any at all?

This topic has now closed. Thanks for all your comments.

Trang, Vietnam
Selecting suitable clothes for a special occasion always takes me much time. Because I have got no many clothes for each situation. So that sometimes I had to go out without any comfort and self-confidence.

Reza, Iran
it takes me ten minutes to get ready somewhere special

Jacky, Germany
I'm the same as Tim. It takes me 1,5 hours to get ready. Most of the time is needed to wash and dry my hair. Then I usually take some body lotion instead of perfume and put some make-up on. I pick suitable clothes and corresponding jewellery for that event. My main problem is always many days before the event, because I don't know what to wear. I often buy something new. That means stress to me. First I need time to go shopping and I often have to cut down new trousers.

Jenya, Russia
If i'm going somewhere special, i need about 2 hours to get ready. Firstly, i take a shower with different masks for hair and face, then it's time for make-up and hairstyle. I persanaly don't think than women should use a lot of beauty products. Lipstick and mascara will be enought. Finally, i choose clothes. Of course, your clothes depends on where you want to go but i prefer soft colors and casual style. In my mind creative accessories can decorate your look.

Imge, Turkey
before i go out,i prepare in 20 minutes.this is enough for me to get ready.i make up and get on my clothes after that i go out where i want.

Marianna, Slovakia
I believe to use a suitable lipstick is essential for a woman to look womanly along with a fagrance. I make my eyebrow with browne pencil too which gives the shape to the whole face if the brow麓s not in a good shape naturaly. (It has learned me my teacher at basic school painting class. ) Many woman pay more attention to clothes or have a bautiful shape of lips but it all fades out when they look palid and unlively. It lasts 5 to 10 minutes all the time in a bathroom.

Mam, Thailand
If I have to go out for some special occasion for instacnce my friend's wedding party, I take about one hour to get ready. Normally, I use only 30 minutes to get ready for going to work.

Rani, England
for me it takes 100hours cuz i keep trying on new things and i like matching clothes so everthing has to match

Usama, Egypt
I always make a limitation for time , for example , I decide not to exceed ten minutes , then I go out even if I didn't finish !

JY, South Korea
I don't take a long time to get ready to go out. Even if I am going out somewhere special, it takes less than 10 minutes to get ready. I just wash my face, shampoo hair, shave face, put on clean clothes and shoes, that's all. I hardly use beauty products. I don't want to impress other people with my appearance, I just want to look tidy.

Yang, Hong Kong
I will wear my favorite toupee because I go bald recently. I also trim vibrissa from my nostril because it always grow too long.

Elsa, Taiwan
If I'm going out somewhere special or meet someone important,I'll dress myself up.It takes me about one hour to get ready.

Tereza, Czech Republic
I don麓t usually use a lot of beauty products - except common things like a tootbrush I usually use only skin cream and mascara. When I have a date I use some cologne and skin powder, so it doesn麓t take so much time. But what takes time is thinking about what to wear - when I have a special date, I try almost all clothes I have at home, some of them two or three times. And then I am late...

Thao, Vietnam
If I'm going out somewhere special, I usually take 2 hour to get ready. I shower, blow & comb my hair, choose clothes. Sometime, I make-up & use a little perfume. Sothat, I'm usally late for appointment.

Thierry, France
I'm a little bit anxious when I have an important meeting, but the d day morning, it only take me 15 mn to be ready. For my clothes, I prepare the day before in the evening so I can go to bed stressless.

Liliana, Colombia
Ussualy I dont use beauty products for go out, because I am alergy to products. but i need much time in the bath.

CY, Hong Kong
I'm the same as Tim.I'm a trouble maker,my friends always wait for me. So if someone want to hang out with me,the time must say early,so that I have enough time to prepare all the things.haha

Charly, Philippines
When I do attend parties, I make it a point that I make myself pretty and sexy so I will feel good and be able to enjoy myself going out. Usually if I go out like attending parties together with my special someone, I spend almost an hour fixing my hair and make up. I go around the mirror to look if my outfit fits me. First thing I do is to take a bath of course, do my hair and put on my make up then fits my clothes on and lastly spray my favorite perfume.

Liz
Before i go out ,make up just take me about five minutes.

Robel, Sweden
If I麓m going out somewhere special. I麓m not taking a long time to get ready. I麓m the opposite as tim .

Marta, Poland
It takes me longer to get ready when I'm going somewhere special than usual.I like to look natural so I don't use lots of beauty products.

Andy, Thailand
takes me 5 hours to get ready I smell very bad you see so i have to take for 4 hours a day and 1 hour to brush my hair. I need some advice on how to get myself clean any help shall be appriciated.

Ali, Iran
my hands begin to tremble when I want to see a girl

Shadi, Iran
Actually,in my opinion ,it completely dependes on the person that i'm going to.if i love him,i will go as soon as possible.totally about half an hour or some times a bit more,i think.

Ammar Alasbahi,Yemen
When I go out somewhere specail, I almost do nothing other than having a hot shower and getting dressed well. The process of getting ready for going out doesn't take much time for me about 30 minutes. Clearly, it's my imprtant priority to look smart when I go out. Furthermore, I never put on perfumes as I'm allergic to them.

Amal, Pakistan
i always appreciate good looking people,so i try my best to get ready for outside in nice way but to use many beauty products is not my style.i take hardly half an hour to go outside.i simply believe in golden line that beaauty needs no ornaments, so i just use lipstick, perfume of couse, that,s it.

Valentina, China
I think if you're going out for a sepecial occasion such like a date or party, you would have to take a long time to prepare for it. You know, hairstyle, making up, choosing clothes and everything! 'Coz everybody wants to be perfect when it comes. But men would take time shorter than women, I guess. I never count the time that I take, but now, for I'm 16 and going to make up, I guess I'll take 1 hour...oh...no longer I hope. Anyway, I don't use a lot of beauty products. Just wanna be the best one, or the best myself.

Endy, Hong Kong
It depend on my destination.I usually spend three hours on tidying my need.As my home is disorderly. So that It's difficult to find out my articles for daily use.I don't use any beauty products because It's so expensive.I can't afford.

Andrea, Italy
Of course it depends on where I'm supposed to be going. But, as Italians use to do, I spend always some minutes more then I would need to. That's because we love to be clean and because we do not are time-oriented. It's not that bad, I hope...

Trace Wong, Hong Kong
Usually it take me an hour get to ready,I would prepare the cothing and accessories a day before ,off course do a litte makeup is also important for me

Hong Kong
I'm a nervouse person , if the dating is to met a very important guy , It take me to get ready over an hour usually I would prepare the dress last night in order to avoid if the dress not suit me,of course do a little make up and to select my beauty accessories to match my dress and last to wear a high heel

Sebastiana, Spain
I'm a nervous person, so I usually get nervous when I have to go out somewhere special and it takes me to get ready so long.I spent more time in the bath and I try more than one clothes.

Yangbae Lee, Seoul Korea
It just depends on where I'm going out. If I go to the store, just 20 minutes enough from start to finish. Jump in the shower and out for a fast wash and shaving, get dressed and makeup some. If going out to eat with my family, it takes me a little longer shower, my hair will take a little extra combing, and I might go slower doing the makeup, so maybe a half hour total.

Naheed, Pakistan
I'm the opposite. It doesn't take me longer to get ready even if I'm going somewhere special. I don't use many beauty products except for a lipstick and of course, a good fragrance is a must thing.

Andy, China
hoho~ i do agree with Tim.You know, it has been a kind of polite activities in the world that you have to do some make-up for meeting with someone. Nobody wants to see you with messd dress and face. Whatever, it is a key for date or meeting, in my view~ hehe.As to me, it will take me half an hour~ It is not too long, is it?^^

Luciana, Brazil
I hardly spend too much time getting ready. It usually takes me less than 30 minutes. I am a simple and natural woman who doens't wear make up, but likes to wear jewellery always something to go with the clothes that I am wearing. When you got children, you got to learn how to do everything quick. :-)

Jose Luis,Spain
Usually I take about one hour.I brush my teeth, shave and shower.Ilike deodorant, body lotion, cologne and keep my clothes.

Rita, Hong Kong
It takes me around 30 - 50 minutes. I just use some beauty products to make myself more confidence.

Osman, Sudan
Really, I do not take more time to be ready, because I'm confident I have got smart look and the Products, which is adorned with me and not vice versa.

Irenka, Russia
As for me I don't use a lot of beauty products. My beauty routine consists of not bright, natural make-up, light perfume and a little jewellery or bijouterie to fit my clothes. It doesn't take me long to get ready on weekdays when I go to work: a few minutes to do my hair, light make-up and put on the clothes I usually choose beforehand. But if I'm going out somewhere special it takes me more than an hour including my face and body care, my outfit, hairstyle and make-up.I take a longer shower or a bath, apply the mask on my face and relax. All these things are very healthy and enjoyable and let you look fresh and beautiful.

Chun, China
I spend a few minutes on cleaning myself. It is hard for me to understand my wife need more than one hour to get ready to go out. As a man, i think it waste your life. So, i think Tim has taken too much time, even though he is going to meet a beautiful girl.

Ivan, China
If I'm going out, it usually takes me about half an hour to get ready.because i want to shower and applying makeup and putting on my favorite clothes and finally check if everything fine in front of a mirror.

Duong, Vietnam
Usually, it takes me about 15minute per day to get ready before going out. My beauty routine consist of: washing my face with cleasing milk, twice a day, in the early day and in the evening, applying sunscream. If I am going to an importing meeting, a light makeup will make me feel more confident. I do not have any piece of cologne, I'll try it someday

Lilly Cook, London
I take ten hours to get ready when I am going out.

Silvia, Spain
It doesn't mean I'm addicted to beauty but it's true it takes me a long time cause nowadays we pay a lot of attention to our body care even during the week before going out of home

Tatiana, Russia
It takes me about two hours to get ready if I go somewhere really special. But usually it takes not more then half an hour. I don't always use lots beauty products, in fact, sometimes I don't use it at all, except a shampoo or a soap.

Irene, China
I do not care make-ups but spend most time on taking shower, chooseing clothes and accessories. Sometimes I first pick up what shoes I want to wear and then match with the clothes. Other times maybe accessories first then matching color clothes and shoes... But no matter which way, would need around an hour to get dressed up.

Murat, Turkey
time is very valuable.i can't affort to lose time when i prepare for some invitation or something like this.I always use the time prodictively because waste time means waste your life

Maha, Pakistan
i dont use more beauty products ,then hardly lipstick, but its true that my jewellery takes more then half hour especially going out for party of my friends i need 2 to 3 hours to get ready as i want to look pretty among my friends.

Yueh,Taiwan
To look clean is important for a girl. Before I go out, I wash my face, use toner, protective cream,a little make-up. That refresh me and make me confident.

Ying, China
I often spend fifteen minutes to get ready. And my going out routine consist of picking up nice dress, wearing different hairs and accessories to match my clothes. With my smile and good mood, I am confident to go out anywhere special! I think they are my best beauty products and make me more attractive.

Julieth, Colombia
It depends. If I just need to go out for work or study, It takes about 15 minutes. Other cases (formal meetings or parties)could be just 30 to 40 minutes. I just care about some lipstick, cologne and a good dress!!!

Tuyet, Vietnam
It often takes little time for me to get ready to go out. I don't use any beauty products at all cause i'm a student and can't afford them.

Su, Korea
When I go out, it takes about 1 hour.At first, I take a shower and change my clothes. And then, I have a breakfast.I usually eat cereal for breakfast.I brush my teeth, and make up.It takes too much time, so I don't like it.

Romina, Argentina
Well, I don't take a lot of time to get ready to go out as i have a little daughter, so I have to do everything in a rush.

Satogon, VZ
In this regard I,m actually an easygoing person und try to keep on the middle course. To use a lot of the beauty products day after day can cause skin irritations what I,m very prone to and additionally the proved none allergent beauty articles are rather expensive in general that,s why prohibitive. But dressing is another thing. There are many different occasions which require special outfits. It does not match going to opera in a casual dressing or being invited to a fancy dressing party and to spare times just take the usual daily clothes. These different clothings need certain different dressing times. But in general getting ready for informal events should not take more than half an hour.

Jaime, Chile
I do not like to take so long in the bathroom, I always take about 25 minutes. When I have got a date I use a little cologne works wonders. It is good to look fine everyday, also at work.

Ana , Spain
Usually , before go out to every day I need approximately three quartes of an hour to get ready : I take a shower , after this I put cream in my face and comb my hair and finally I make-up . I take care also choosing the clothes , for me is very important the clothes that I dress are well coordinated . For me is the same go out to work , with friends , to a party ... the procces is always the same . I love beauty products and I have a lot of them : creams , colognes , makeup... and I use all .

Dina, Russia
An important difference between a woman and a man: in the morning a man gets up, washes up and leaves, it usually takes about 20 minutes. A woman gets up, washes up and can stay in the bathroom for more than an hour!!!:-) Sitting in front of a mirror, her lipstick in one hand and a sandwitch in the other.. Then she is to choose what to wear, about 20 minutes (the best case). Looking at the watch she realizes that she's being late! Embarrassed, she makes haste, puts on her hat, can hardly manage to grip her handbag and at last she's out. Do you think I blame women for that? No, no.. I've just described my own going out routine!

Addi
well if i m goin out for a special person a special place i ll take a long time first for the selection of cloths, jwel, shoes etc.and another long time in front of mirror lol.but usually i get ready in 30-40 mins to go out for parties etc.

Tram, Vietnam
i always want to look good in front of everybody

Ines, Spain
I really like to spend some time in the bathroom getting ready to go out (it's part of the fun all together!), but I don't usually have the time, so I end up with five hectic minutes in which I have to decide what to wear, wash my face, clean my teeth, grab my bag and off we go! If I remember to take my make up bag with me, I usually put it on the run.

Kim, South Korea
I don't agree with that. If I'm usually going out somewhere, it takes just 5 minutes.

MrStone, Vietnam
It's up to the importance of meeting, says, if it was the first meeting with my parent-in-law, I would do something really special for myself. Probably, buying a new aftershave to make it work wonder. However, in case they suppose that a man should not pay too much attention on the his appearance, I would wear a polite suite. And what about how long?. In fact, I have never wasted the time for something like making up because as it's the outer. The most importance is the inner in each of us. We can not hide it by any way. Sooner or later people also will figure out how we are. Almost of them who also make us more beautiful. It's one of factors contributing to leave impressive to our parter at the first time. Nowadays, the technology in this sector is very developed, especially in Thailand. Currently, as for me, I own a perfume for men. Its smell is harder than one for women. Furthermore, 2 shoes, one is giving for the polite meetings and the another is to play sport. The last one is a suite and several of titles.

Nataly, Russia
My beauty routine consists of standing up from my sofe, dressing and going out. I dont think that the appearance is the most important thing for the date. Maybe I am not right. But I dont pay so muc attention to it.

Agnieszka, Poland
In my case, preparation to going out isn't a straining task to do. Shower, getting dressed and about 15 minutes in front of the mirror. Some cosmetic products like face powder, mascara, lip gloss, sometimes eye shadows. I can't forget about combing my hair and brushing my teeth - those are the 'must-do' things :)

Muzy, TR
If i'm going out for a date or a special night, i usually spend an half hour to get ready. I usually use after shave.

Leonardo, Italy
Usually I don't use lots of beauty products, but If I have to go somewhere special, especially with someone special for me, in that case I'll do my very best to be good locking. I shave myself, choose the right clothes, put a little cologne and so on..

Andrew, China
I always takes a long time to prepare for a date, yet it is not the case when I am going out with my girl friend for we have already hung out for a long time . But I always do remember to shave my beard for she do not like it.

Bomsan, South Korea
30 minutes is enough for me to get ready. There's quite few of beauty products on my dresser.

jean Marie, France
Ready for a going out? would take me about ten minutes! no more. The longest is to decide and dress myself to fit with the kind of event, formal dinner party with new friends, informal with old, a drink in a pub with buddies...As I begin to think about at the very last moment I'm always running a little late. Fortunately I've not to care of any sophisticated making up as women do. Sometimes I use an infinitesimal part of a discreet eau de toilette for men.

Eliza, China
Absolutely same as Tim. It will take me ages to get ready for hanging out. Normally 2 hours I think, especially in a special date. For skincare, I will clean my face, masks if necessary, and then use lotion, moisture cream to make my face glooming. After this is a long list of makeup products-foundation primer, foundation, concealer, powder, eyeshadows, eyeline, mascara, blush, lipstick, lipgloss, brown pencil and highlight. Last but most important, a good romantic perfume.

Imen, Tunisia
Hi everybody ,if I'm going out somewhere special ...or not, I always change my clothes thousands of time to keep the last look ...and you know how it would look like my room,"A BIG MESS" it'd look like a big mountains of clothes.I think choosing the right clothe it's the hardest part of the going out routine because the make up ,the hairstyle...ect,they're just easy as pie.I realy love going out but I realy hate "the looking for the gold dress"part.

Becky,TW
If I'm going out for a special date, it usually takes me more than one hour to get ready. I think the suitable necklace, earrings can work wonders. of course, it is also important to match the color of clothes, bag and shoes pretty well.

Santiago, Canada
Usually just takes some minutes. I am not used to use tonns of products. I just take care of being shaved and combed and also to use cologne. I think is not necessary to use more products.

Song, South Korea
Actually, I don't need a long time to get ready to go out. I just wash my face and do light makeup even though I should go somewhere special. However, my younger sister, she takes over 3 hours to get ready to go out! She loves collecting cosmetics indeed!

Hedf
I always use lots of beuty products.

Thienloi, Vietnam
I'm not the one guy who cares about the appearance but I always try to keep my good looking for the important events. Well, I remember when I went to interview for my first job, it took me more than 20 minutes for prepare everything, from the shirt, trousers to shoes. For the common events and even going to work daily, I'm quite simple to choose how to appear : just wear what I'm feel comfortable. I don't use cologne or any kind of those but I think they're good , maybe they help us more polite.

Xia Yu, China
If I'm going out, it usually takes me about an hour to get ready. My beauty routine consists of doing my hair, applying makeup and putting on my favorite dress and finally check if everything's fine in front of a mirror.

Ale, Italy
When I wake up I have a shower, then I use a body lotion and a face cream before the make-up. In the evening I need the cleansing cream and the toner, so my skin can rest. Sometimes I use other beauty products, it takes every day about fifteen minutes to finish. But I enjoy this time, it's relaxing.

Song, South Korea
In my case, it usually takes about between 40 to 50 minutes. From taking a shower to be ready for going out.I usually take a shower for 20 minutes, after that, I put skin and lotion on my face, then make my hair more stylish than normal with hair spray. Also put a little bit perfume later. Frankly, it takes for a long time, but during doing this stuff, I always feel happy and excited.

Anto, Italy
Not much, really. I take a shower and put some bodycream eventually, then I carefully brush my teeth, my eyebrowns and my hair. that's it. But what takes me a lot of time is to choose what to wear. If I'm in an inspired mood I get ready in a minute, otherwise I can spend hours in front of the mirror choosing clothes.Regarding beauty products I don't believe they really work or at least most of them. I just use the same face cream in years, a hand care cream and twice a month I put some olive oil on my hair to nourish it.But once a year I go to a true turkish bath and have a massage to scrub my skin and that really works wonders!

Ernesto, Chile
I don't know how long was Tim in the restroom, but I ussually take between 20 minutes and half our to get ready.I don't use meny products, a good shampoo, deodorant and an after shave are enough for me.

Marti, Spain
When I am going out on saturday night it takes me about half an hour to get ready, but when I am going out to work on Monday morning it takes me only ten minutes. That's becouse my boss is ugly.

Jonida, Albania
It takes me 30 minutes to get ready. The things that I always do when I go out is dressing up with my best clothes which take me 15 minutes to choose them and 15 mnutes too, doing the make-up.
