We don't really have any competitions which are popular at all times. But we have this traditional competition which is held once a year at Bun Festivial. It is Bun Scrambling Competition. In a limited time, competitors need to climb up a "bun tower" as high as 15 metrs and collect as many buns as they can. It is a very exciting competition.

When I was about 18, I was doing rock climbing. After half a year it was time to show what I have learnt and I took part in the competition among the female beginners. I was trying hard but unfortunately I couldn't complete the route. Neither did other girls, however. In fact they even didn't manage to reach my results and surprisingly I got the first place. Actually I don't remember what prizes I got for it, probably nothing but respect from my teachers and raising self-esteem:) Anywhere I was really happy with that because I have never won sports competitions before.

We don't have pub quizzes in our country but if we had, I would like to participate. I like quizzes and similar things. But unfortunately, people only drink and eat in our pubs...

There are many type of competitions held in India. Some of the famous types are one minute games, quiz competitions and all that jazz. There was a famous TV reality show popularly known as KBC ( Kaun Banega Crorepati based on the concept of Who Will Be Millionaire. The first prize was a cheque of Rs. 1 Crore. Unfortunatally I didn't get the opportunity to participate in that quiz show. But I have participated in many of the quiz competitions in my college.

In Korea, there are various kinds of competitions which take place every year, such as essay writing competition, dance, piano, painting, english speaking competition, and so on.I participated in Painting Contest when I was middle school. This was held on the school ground. At that day, all the students of our school went to one of palaces in order to paint the scenery. Honestly, at that time, I never expected to win in the contest. But surprisingly, I gained gold medal. After that, I started to be interested in art. It was a very great time for me.

I've never tried popular competitions in my country, because I'm not good at that kind of things. However when I was doing my English course, our teacher usually made us to do quizes to learn more quickly and to have great fun; and I have to recognize he really got it! So I think I should do it more often.

Competition may be aply in all areas of our life. Sense of Competition allow us to be better in each of our task. I thihk, all people need to have a motivation to compete and improve step by step their skills. For children would be useful include the aim for competition as a resource to learn both academic and other important things.

When it comes to finding a great game playing with my friends in a bar,we prefer to choose one game named "truth or dare" which brings us into the contact wiht others. We can know something deep inside of somebody's mind and do some strange things which seldom happens in normal situation. And the most important thing is nobody will blame you for what happened. It makes us feeling relaxed.
Laura, Mexico
Well, some years ago it麓s used to play lotto at the fair and it was so fun to shout out "loteriaaaaa" when you were the winner, everyone looked at you as a hero.
Lucy, China
For students in China, one of the most popular academic competitions is the English speaking contest. There are numerous ones each year to encourage the study of English among studnets and the prizes can be tempting such as a tour to the UK or US. I took part in some of them and they were really eye-opening experiences since i have come across many other brilliant students who were not onlt good at English but also were all-around students. Some of them were really impressive that i gained a lot of inspiration So the value is beyond the contest itself.
Bao, Vietnam
The most popular game in my own country is Olympia... It's like a knowledge competitions and the contenders are student who are in high school. In my country there're lots of competitions like this. Jean Marie, France
If pub quizzes had existed in my country I would really have liked to try them. Except mass sports or popular TV games there is no small group competition which involves culture or intelligence than physical power. All games are generally promoted with lot of money or huge sponsoring and often based on chance. As I am not keen on outdoor activities and not a gambler the only competition I have ever entered is the game of ptanque invented in the south of France. it is a sort of bowling game, some people claims it's a sport. I don't think so, we have just to manage with this bloody bowl thrown on an irregular earth surface, rolling slowly 6 or 10 metres toward a cochonnet(smaller wood bowl we've threw before). The winner is the nearest of it. What we need to practice is a good sense of humour because the spectators like make fun of the players, I think it's the best aspect of the game! Sometimes we can win some money or a drink, but above all we'd better never lose! If we lost, it's sure, we would be nastely mocked. I rarely won.
Malaysia

Phuong,Vietnam
I used to enter a writing competition in my country. It's quite popular so I thought that I could win and get some money. But I didn't.my plot-making was good but I didn't have it corrected by my teacher.I was so confident and...a little arrogant.I waited for one week and after that,I found it only for students in another town.I was really disappointed for that unfairness. But hopefully,I suppose that I can in the future.
Marti, Spain
There are not quiz competitions in the bars of my country but it is very usual in the countryside towns to go to the bar just to play games like domino or cards as you drink some wine.
