My Choice...

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science."

Albert Einstein

This is one of my favourite Einstein quotes. As a theoretical physicist, striving to complete Einstein's dream of a "theory of everything," this quote has helped to guide my research to push the ultimate limits of physics.

Instead of working on the details of well-known theories, this quote has inspired me to tackle some of the most difficult problems in the universe. Instead of dwelling in the comfort zone of known ideas, this quote has challenged me to explore the mysterious, to draw from the well-spring of creativity and originality common to both scientists and artists, to probe the deepest secrets of nature, and to "read the mind of God."

Facts on Michio Kaku

Presently, he is engaged in working on Einstein's "Theory of Everything," seeking to unify the four fundamental forces of the universe.

His best-sellers are Beyond Einstein, Visions, Hyperspace and Parallel Worlds.

He often engages in public speaking - talking about diverse and esoteric subjects from wormholes to time travel.

His own Moving Words

"It is often stated that of all the theories proposed in this century, the silliest is quantum theory. In fact, some say that the only thing that quantum theory has going for it is that it is unquestionably correct."

"There are many examples of old, incorrect theories that stubbornly persisted, sustained only by the prestige of foolish but well-connected scientists. Many of these theories have been killed off only when some decisive experiment exposed their incorrectness."

"Thus the yeoman work in any science, and especially physics, is done by the experimentalist, who must keep the theoreticians honest."

"It would take a civilization far more advanced than ours, unbelievably advanced, to begin to manipulate negative energy to create gateways to the past. But if you could obtain large quantities of negative energy -- and that's a big "if" -- then you could create a time machine that apparently obeys Einstein's equation and perhaps the laws of quantum theory."
