Lord's Resistance Army killings
New revelations have come to light of gruesome killings that took place last December in a remote part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
More than 300 people in the Makombo area of Haut Uele district were massacred in a five day killing spree in the week before before Christmas.
A report published by the organisation Human Rights Watch blames the massacre on the Uganda's Lords Resistance Army (LRA) under Joseph Kony.
It has been described as one of the worst single atrocities of the LRA's 23-year insurgency.
The author of the report, Annecka van Woudenberg gave Network Africa's Akwasi Sarpong more details.
LRA response
Known LRA members were identified by villagers as involved in the killings, however the spokesman for the rebel group, Justin Labeja denies the LRA were to blame.
