大象传媒 World Service is a division of the British Broadcasting Corporation, a body incorporated by Royal Charter.
The largest group in which the results of 大象传媒 World Service are consolidated is that headed by the 大象传媒.
The consolidated accounts of this group may be obtained from the Head of the Executive Unit, The Media Centre, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TQ.
The related party transactions of 大象传媒 World Service have been presented in accordance with FRS 8: Related Party Disclosures.
16a. Transactions with subsidiaries
大象传媒 World Service made grants of 拢0.4 million (2008: 拢0.3 million) during the year to 大象传媒 World Service Trust, towards education projects and general management and administration costs.
大象传媒 World Service Trust procures some services from 大象传媒 World Service on an arm鈥檚-length basis.

During the year there were no disclosable transactions with associates.

16d. Other transactions
During the year the 大象传媒 Group charged 大象传媒 World Service net costs of 拢163.2 million (2008: 拢156.5 million) in respect of operating costs.
At 31 March 2009 大象传媒 World Service was owed 拢2.4 million (2008: 拢1.3 million) by the 大象传媒 Group.
