US feels global pressure on climate change

Representatives from the world's nations gather in the German city of Bonn this week in the latest round of negotiations designed to move towards a new global climate change deal later this year.

In the lead-up to the UN Climate Change talks due to be held in Copenhagen in December, there is enormous pressure on the United States to make big cuts in their CO2 emissions.

But according to the 大象传媒's Roger Harrabin the climate and energy bill currently bumping through the US Congress is being watered down amid fears over energy prices and competitiveness.
