Arctic explorers gathering climate change data reach North Pole

A team of explorers gathering scientific data about the extent and effect of global warming has reached the North Pole after a gruelling 60-day journey.

The team has been collecting water and marine life samples from beneath the floating sea ice which will measure the impact on region of climate change.

The leader of the polar explorer team, Ann Daniels, spoke to the World Today from the North Pole.
