Lessons from Italy's earthquake zone

It's now six months since a massive earthquake struck the region of Abruzzo in central Italy, killing over 300 people and devastating the city of L'Aquila.

Reconstruction work is underway but progress is slower than many locals had hoped.

Aside from the displaced city-dwellers of L'Aquila, the surrounding farming communities have also been suffering the consequences of the earthquake.

Six months on, their situation is deteriorating rather than improving, as Dany Mitzman found when she met the people of the region.
