Palestinian kids who throw stones know they risk arrest by the Israeli military. However others can be wary too, as claims are made in the West Bank of childrens' wrongful arrests and abuse by authorities - claims the authorities deny.
Mohammad Salem Abu Eid is a 15-year-old Palestinian boy who spent four months in an Israeli prison.
He was accused of throwing stones at the barrier the Israelis built in the West Bank, but Mohammad says he was innocent.
His case is one of those taken up by Defence for Children International, who say Israel is violating childrens' rights.
Matthew Bannister met Mohammad and his mother Somaya to hear about their experiences. He spoke to Gerard Horton of Defence for Children International, and he also talked to the 大象传媒 Correspondent in Jerusalem, Katya Adler, who says the Israeli authorities refute the claims made against them.
