Advertising Account Director Adam Lennard says such funny things in his sleep that his wife Karen would get up in the middle of the night to write them down.
When Karen first started to publish Adam's night time ramblings in a blog on the internet, it became an instant hit which now attracts hundreds of thousands of readers from around the world.
The couple have now installed a voice activated recorder in their bedroom so Karen doesn't have to wake up to write down Adam's surreal quips.
The taped sleep talk includes outbursts like "Vampire penguins and zombie guinea pigs. We're done for!" and "You're right, elephants in thongs are not something you see everyday. Enjoy it!"
Adam tells Matthew Bannister about the difference between himself and his sometimes aggressive night-time persona and explains why he thinks he says such bizarre things.
