Bangladesh has made 2021 as the date to be connected.

2021 will be the 50th anniversary since independence for the country, and a date which is held to promise just that – independence, together with prosperity and equality.

Internet use in the country is currently just 0.8%. The vision is to massively drive that upwards to the great bulk of the population.

But can it be done from such a small user base?

And how is the web changing the relationship between the poor and the powerful?
