So many parts of Baghdad have been devastated by violence that reconstruction is a seemingly endless task. However for glazier Tahseen Salim, the destruction is also a source of uncomfortable success.
Since the US-led invasion in 2003, Iraq's capital, Baghdad, has been hit by countless insurgent suicide attacks and car bombs.
The Palestine Hotel in the centre of the city is just one building which has been very badly damaged.
In January this year, a massive car bomb exploded outside the hotel, and months later the hotel is still being rebuilt.
At the heart of the repair effort, glazier Tahseen Salim has the contract to reglaze the hotel's vast number of windows, along with his team of 15 workers.
Yet while he prospers, many accuse him of profiting from the violence that has devastated the city.
For Outlook, the 大象传媒's Baghdad correspondent Gabriel Gatehouse went to meet Tahseen to find out more about his work and the criticisms he faces.
