Natascha (pictured above on the left) was just ten years old on 2 March 1998 when she was snatched off the street by a mentally disturbed man in his mid 30s.
Wolfgang Priklopil bundled her into his van and drove to his home in a town just outside Vienna in Austria and forced her into a dungeon beneath his garage. He held her for eight and a half years in an airless, five metres squared cellar.
During her imprisonment, Natascha was subjected to physical and emotional abuse. She didn't escape until she was 18.
Now four years on, she has written her story.
When Natascha came into the Outlook studios she told Lucy Ash about the time she spent locked away and how she now feels about her captor.
Natascha’s book 3096 days is out now and published by Penguin.
