Are easily available paternity tests a good thing?

Blood test

Edward took his paternity test in the form of a blood test

In the UK, it is becoming easier to take a paternity test.

A chain of pharmacies has started stocking a kit costing about $50 so that everyone involved can take a swab from inside their cheek, send them off in the post, for a further fee, and get the results of DNA tests in a few days.

Most tests are taken by fathers to check whether a new-born in their family is theirs.

Edward took a paternity test 10 years ago; he tells Europe Today his story.
