Captain Chesley Sullenberger is the pilot who safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 in New York's Hudson River, saving the lives of 155 people.
The flight had just taken off from New York's La Guardia airport on its way to Charlotte, Carolina when both its engines were disabled by a flock of geese.

Captain Sullenberger quickly realised that with both engines down and the plane gliding without power, the only safe option was to land the plane in the Hudson River.
He told Matthew Bannister about the extraordinary events of that day and what it's like being called a "hero".
