Whilst Barack Obama embarks on first Presidential tour of Asia his time is in great demand. However in China there is one man with a unique claim on his time - his half brother, Mark Okoth Obama Ndesandjo.

Mark is the son of Obama's father and his third wife. He grew up in Kenya, was educated in America, and now works in Shenzhen in the South of China.

Now Mark has written a novel based on events in his own life. It describes his father physically abusing him as a child and watching his mother being beaten.

Matthew Bannister spoke to Mark and asked him to describe his childhood experiences.
