Vietnam's Mekong Delta
is often described as the "rice bowl of Asia." However people there now say their
way of life
is under threat from
rising sea levels and increasingly erratic weather
.
Many
scientists blame this on climate change and
the
United Nations and the World Bank
have also identified the area
as very vulnerable to
its effects
.
So as the eyes of the world turn to Copenhagen for the UN's climate summit, Outlook reporter Jane Chambers has been to the Delta to meet the people living in fear of the future.
