Geoff Holt has just become the first quadriplegic person to sail solo across the Atlantic.

In 1984, when he was 18 years old, Geoff broke his neck after diving into the sea off a beach in the British Virgin Islands.

He was left effectively paralysed from the chest down.

Geoff's pioneering 28 day voyage from Lanzarote on his boat Impossible Dream ended on the same beach where his life changing accident happened.

Matthew Bannister spoke to Geoff after he arrived back in the UK, and Geoff told him how he'd been passionate about sailing from a very early age .
