Lin Yu-chun is a young man from Taiwan who has become a global internet sensation after a video of him singing Whitney Houston's hit I Will Always Love You was posted on .

His popularity on the video-sharing site is being compared to that of Susan Boyle's success, after appearing on Taiwan's version of Britain's Got Talent - One Million Star.

Lin says he was constantly teased at school for being overweight and called "fatty" and "fat pig", but he did not tell his parents and kept his unhappiness to himself.

Through singing he found relief, which has also enabled him to make new friends and become more confident.

Now he hopes his story will give encouragement to people around the world who find themselves facing similar difficulties.
