In the spring of 2007, after the worst winter in the history of Juneau, Alaska, photograper and wilderness guide Lynn Schooler had what is called a 'midlife crisis'.
Exhausted by his house building project and aware his marriage was on the rocks, he sought solace by escaping into nature.
He set out on a solo two-week journey into the Alaskan wilderness.
Lucy Ash spoke to him and asked whether the journey had helped him to find perspective.
Lynn Schooler's book 'Walking Home' is published by Bloomsbury.
