The British actress Natascha McElhone has always kept a diary.
This urge to write helped her to cope when her life took a tragic turn.
Natascha was filming in LA when she received some devastating news.
She was thousands of miles away from home with her two young sons and pregnant with her third child, when she was told her husband of ten years had died.
Martin, who was a plastic surgeon, had died suddenly of a heart attack at their home in London.
As she struggled with her grief, she began writing letters to Martin, telling him how she felt, and how the family were adapting to life without him.
Outlook's Lucy Ash spoke to Natascha about how she had first heard about Martin's death, the birth of their third child and publishing her letters.
