Protests have been ongoing on Egypt's streets since 25 January, and now protesters are holding a massive rally in Cairo to try to force President Hosni Mubarak from power.
Men, women and children from a cross-section of Egyptian society, have been out on the streets to protest in their thousands.
One man who has a first hand experience of the unrest is Mahmoud Kabil - an Egyptian actor who is famous for his award-winning film roles and humanitarian work as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
He has been helping to protect his community from the criminals who have taken advantage of the chaos by looting homes and businesses.
Mahmoud is also concerned about the welfare of Egypt's many street children, who he says are caught up in the unrest.
Outlook's Matthew Bannister spoke to Mahmoud on the phone from his home in North Cairo and asked him to describe the situation on the streets.
