28 year-old Jerry Winkler was living on the streets when he discovered that he was the only son and heir of a multi-millionaire businessman.
The news transformed his life. He now lives in a well-appointed house in the centre of Amsterdam and is using his new found wealth to help other homeless people.
Jerry's childhood was traumatic. When his mother developed a brain tumour he was sent to live with the man he thought was his father.
Jerry had a very difficult relationship with his new family. He ended up being taken into care.
For the next 5 years he was shifted from one home to another. He slowly drifted into petty crime and drugs.
It was after a family argument that he found out that the man who he believed to be his father, was not.

Jerry then set out to try and find his real father. He discovered that his mother had been having an affair at work.
The clues led him to the director of the company, Alfred Winkler.
He was a very wealthy businessman who had died leaving no heirs.
People who had known him talked about an uncanny resemblance.
Jerry then took a DNA test. The results showed a 99.999% certainty that he was Alfred Winkler's son.
His life then changed dramatically.
