Listener and Outlook Club member Israel Ambe Ayongwa responds to Outlook coverage of the Bamenda riots in Cameroon.

Bamenda riot photograph

Israel Ambe Ayongwa emailed to say that he was very impressed at the vivid account of events, by the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Omer Songwe, adding "the truth is that I was an eye witness to most of these incidents... from the balcony of our office." Israel took all the pictures late afternoon on the 16th October, when the disturbances were petering out. He took photographs using the camera on his cell phone. This picture shows the ashes of what used to be a police traffic control kiosk.
