Designed to inspire, develop and celebrate writing talent in Scotland, the was named in honour of the Emmy-award winning writer who was renowned for his intelligent, authentic scripts, having created some of the most compelling characters on TV.

It was an exciting opportunity for original writers passionate about the stories they want to tell, and had something to offer audiences across the length and breadth of the UK.

Katie Douglas and Kirstie Swain were the  and were offered the position of Writer in Residence at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Scotland for a period of 6 months to develop original ideas for ´óÏó´«Ã½ One.
