Rather than asking for scripts, they wanted a five-minute web pilot video. And it didn't have to have great production values. This was perfect for me.
Future Talent was an exciting new opportunity which launched in the West Midlands in November 2014. We were looking for produced online pilot episodes of a comedy, drama or interactive idea. They could be up to 5 minutes in duration and needed to have the potential to be developed into a web-series. We were seeking out bold and original ideas, great stories and fresh characters.
Submissions came in on YouTube and Vimeo from across the West Midlands region. They were shortlisted by the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Writers team alongside colleagues from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Drama and Comedy.
The shortlisted pilots were viewed by Adil Ray (Creator, writer and star of Citizen Khan), Yasmin Evans (´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 1Xtra’s Breakfast Show host and DJ) and Kate Rowland (´óÏó´«Ã½ Creative Director).
